| Q. |
What do I get when I purchase the Guidelines? |
|
A.
|
A CD with the Guidelines and all associated files, updates for 12 months and
email support for 12 months (click here for
details) |
|
|
| Q. |
Am I committed to paying an annual cost? |
|
A.
|
No. The initial purchase of the package is a one-off payment. You only need
to pay if you decide to take subsequent updates. |
|
|
| Q. |
Do I have to take the updates? |
|
A.
|
No.
It's up to you whether you want to receive updates or not. Although we strongly recommend that you take the
updates, you don't have to do so.
We will advise you when your updates are due for renewal and it will be your
decision whether to continue or not.

|
| Q. |
Can I put the the Guidelines on
my company's intranet? |
|
A.
|
Yes. This
is what most users do to make the Guidelines available to all their
operations. |
|
|
| Q. |
Can I put the Guidelines on our
internet web site? |
| A.
|
Absolutely
not. Posting the guidelines on the internet will make them available
to others and the Purchasing
Agreement clearly states that the Purchaser may "use
the Guidelines solely for the purposes of
its operations and for no other business, company or organisation,
without the expressed prior written permission of Management
Systems Australia." and that the Purchaser may not "sell,
give or otherwise disclose the contents of this Guidelines to any other
party".
|
|
|
| Q. |
Can I change the Guidelines? |
| A.
|
Yes. You
can change them in any way you like. But you have to remember that:
-
if you change the Guidelines, you will need to transfer these changes to
the updated guidelines whenever they are issued; and
-
the
copyright for the Guidelines is still the property of Management
Systems Australia (i.e. you may not give, sell or make them available to
any third party - even in their modified form).
|
|
|
| Q. |
When do I get the updates and
what do they include? |
| A.
|
Updates are
issued four times a year (February, May, August and November) and include changes
to acts, regulations and statutory codes of practice (new, amended, revoked, etc), changes to
Australian and ISO
standards, new
and added publications, modifications
and improvements
(as applicable) and new guidelines, as applicable. |
|
|
| Q. |
How do I know what has changed
in any update? |
|
A.
|
Updates are issued
with an 'Update Summary of
Changes' document which lists all the major
changes in the update and the documents that have changed. In addition,
changes in individual documents (including the guidelines) are highlighted
in an easy-to-spot yellow highlight. |
|
|
| Q. |
Can the guidelines be made less
generic and more specific to my company? |
|
A.
|
Absolutely
yes. We have done this for other companies (click here for
details) |
